NEWS MAY/JUNE 2010

Time again to bring you all the update on the church.

At the start of March we had the AGM and the main outcome was to do work on the outside of the church namely car park and boundary wall so we are in the process of getting these jobs started.

On 6th March medium Paul Palmer came and did a special demonstration in the church to help raise some funds for the church (its was a personal thank you to our church because I had played the organ at Roy’s funeral because of the mix up with the music at the crem on that day) The evening was a great success and we raised £134.00.

Our coffee morning on the 13th March raised a additional £179.00 My thanks go not only to Paul but mainly to all our church people who come time after time to help not just at coffee morning but also any event held in the church. Most of you know I always say “its our church and we are all volunteers” but none the less many thanks to everyone.

Good Friday was on April 2nd and the final accounts for that day were £573.00 which was well up on the year before. Over the Easter weekend I received 7 phone calls from people who had attended the G F afternoon all stating what a good day we all had, I must admit with so many people there that afternoon and with standing room only at one point also I had thought if the mediums did 2 shifts of only 6 readings each they also could enjoy the day (which they did).

As this newsletter is being written prior to our day trip to Stanstead Hall a report should appear in the next newsletter.

A forthcoming event is the visit of Angie Morris for an evening of clairvoyance on Saturday 5th of June price £4.00 on the door, also there are 2 coffee mornings one on the 15th May and another on the 12th June.

Finally on the 8th May we had the EGM to discuss the re tarmacing of the car park at the east end of the church adjacent to Fennings chase the 21 members present that night all voted in favour with nobody voting against for the work to proceed so hopefully this task at least will soon be done.

As I now close once again my heart felt thanks to everyone of you who have given my your support and help

Yours as always,

Richard
