News Letter

Richard compiles a News Letter every month, informing members and visitors all that has been going on in the Church over the past month. This news letter serves to inform everyone to what has been happening and what is going to be happening shortly and in the not so distant future.

If you click on the drop down menu when hovering the mouse over the News Letter button above - you will be able to view not only the most up to date news letter; but you will note that past News Letters are posted, so if you have missed a News Letter when attending a service you will be able to view previous News Letters.

Please read through and enjoy!

NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2011

Owing to not enough church member attending, the EGM for the sound system did not take place on 11th August so under church rules it will now take place on Thursday 1st September 2011 the results and report will be in the next newsletter, as we await this result and start of work we are already looking at upgrading the church internal lights the money for the lighting has already started to build plus the old chessnut of the outside lower terrace is again showing signes of failure so work must be done before the whole section collapses this has been discused at a recent committee meeting and we have started the ball rolling by seeking quotes for the work. I know this will be expensive but so much has been achieved by us all nothing is beyond us

Event we have had are a coffee morning on July 9th £170.00 was raised for church funds

Garden party/summer fayre Sat 30th July £287.50 from readings was donated to Air Ambulance plus a beautiful painting of the Air Ambulance helicopter painted by our Fredrick was also donated to AA. The church also benifitted as the raffle money was used towards the upgrading of the church lighting this total came in at £348.67

On Saturday 13th August we had a visit from Joanne Green and what an evening the church rang with laughter and unliftment Joanne work for well over an hour and a half also the church benifited to the tune of £121.00 many thanks to all who came plus also Joanne

On Saturday 6th August there was a naming ceremony in the church Adrian took the service and yours truly played the organ it was also nice to see a dear friend come into the church again I speak of Donna I’m sure many of you will remember her

On Saturday 10th September there will be a wedding in the church in the afternoon so if you could avoid the carpark at the churchthat afternoon it would be appreciated

On Sunday Sept 11th we have our next enrolment service this will also include our annual harvest festival (all food will go as usual to the night shelter for the homeless they do request tins and packet food as they have no facilities for fresh produce),directly after the service that evening I will be leaving for London at the start of my journey to Singapore and Australia I will be away for a month arriving home on the morning of 11th Oct, Whilst I am away Marian will be in charge of the church with the assistance of Sylvia, Ian, Hugh and the committee my mobile will be turned of so don’t even try to contact me.

As I end I thank all you who have surported me in my efforts to improve the church without the help and surport of loyal members and friends nothing would be possible

Lotsaluv

Richard
